Domain names with the ending .eu for the companies end the inhabitants of E.U.

For some time now, the organization for the handling of the domains names with the ending .eu for all those that are activated or live in countries of E.U. is a reality. The framework and the rules have been already decided and the interest of registers has been started.
Recently, it has been announced by the Greek registers that from the 7th of December may start the submission of applications for registration with the ending .eu. Public services and companies with trade-marks will have the right for registration at the beginning, later all the companies and professionals and then all the others. The new domain names will be put fully in use after the 7th of April 2006
For the endings that are characteristic for the origin country does not change anything. The applications are made in authorized bodies from the European Organization for the Handling of the domain names (as for the .gr names) and priority will be kept according the time of submission.

The creation of .eu. names is an effort of Europe to give its mark as a united organization also in Internet. And by this, it creates the framework for all those, who want to be activated commercially in E.U. through Internet. Very important is also the effort for a common European legislation concerning business.
